Our vision is to provide a nurturing, creative and inspiring environment for our students to become leaders, lifelong learners and responsible citizens, ready to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world. In partnership with families and the community, we endeavour to create relevant and real world learning opportunities for students, both inside and outside the classroom, cultivating their individual academic and extra-curricular passions and developing the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and character necessary for them to thrive.
We believe strongly in nurturing Character, and instill a set of important Carlyle Characteristics that appear in each classroom. These are recognised in our most special Hydrangea Award to students who have demonstrated one or more of these characteristics during the year.
We aspire for our school to be a central hub of the community. Integrating our students into the surrounding community instills in them a sense of belonging, ownership, and ultimately, social and environmental responsibility. We also want to contribute our skills and efforts to improve our local community through knowledge exchange and use of our facilities.
We will encourage and equip our students to think for themselves, be analytical, ask the right questions, remain open-minded and always be inquisitive, so they can go out into the world as lifelong learners to solve the challenges and embrace the opportunities of the 21st Century.
